Small projects fail for the same reasons large ones do

A £135,000 project can go wrong in exactly the ways a £100M one does.

Unclear brief, the wrong contractor, nobody holding the ring. The consequences are smaller. The causes are identical.

Eaton needed a new extension to an existing building at Titchfield – itself an enabling work pack for the larger Building 3G demolition and land remediation programme, so being late had consequences beyond itself.

Forward Projects provided the full design and construction project management service on the client’s behalf. We prepared the client brief, supported Eaton’s CDM duties, and selected and appointed the principal designer and principal contractor.

Scope definition, risk management, planning, stakeholder management, tender management, contract administration, oversight of construction and progress reporting – with all subcontractor work verified as CDM-compliant.

Delivered in 26 weeks.

The discipline doesn’t scale down. Only the paperwork does.
